At the stage of the game where I’m at (late-twenties), it seems like every day there’s news of someone I know getting arried, having a kid, buying a house, etc. and there used to be times when it felt like I was falling behind because I had none of those things. Then I came to my senses. Happiness is all that matters. And that’s not me saying that, that’s coming from Einstein, Edison, Shakespeare, Churchill, Lincoln, Rockefeller, Aristotle, Aurelius, Carnegie and pretty much any human being that ever did anything significant with their lives. So with that in mind, would I be any happier if I had the job, house and kid but wasn’t able to make music? Not a chance. Music isn’t exactly considered a safe “career-option” but life isn’t about settling for less because it's safer, it’s about pursuing the things that bring you the most happiness and taking the risks that get you there.
